The beginning of our new chapter lead to the start of Oak Tree Barn
The Millar family were looking for more space to store large machinery for their Stockport based landscape maintenance business. Instead of just storage space, they ended up relocating to Oak Tree Farm in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands countryside. The heavy machinery fit perfectly in a large open barn however the barn that was once a cow shed and then a haulage business had been left untouched for many years.
While using it as a business centre for a short while, the Millar’s used the space to host small family parties and get togethers. After a few years, their son Mike and then fiancé Rianna decided to hold their own wedding at the barn, little did the family know this would be the start of a family business adventure!
Why are we so passionate about creating magnificent memories? Because the first wedding we held at The Oaks was our own! Experiencing first-hand what this breath taking woodland venue has to offer, gives our team a unique inside look. We took the steps each couple are taking and can help in a way other venues aren’t able to. From our engagement, the year countdown began to our wedding day here at The Oaks.
Hard work, love and long hours were poured into renovating this extraordinary barn and we continue to maintain the building as it’s the heart of our home. With the importance of greenery and outdoor space becoming ever more essential, our enchanting rustic barn is perfectly situated within 25 acres of blissful woodland and meadows.
Caring for the environment and sustainability was an important factor when the renovation of the barns took place. Many materials have been sourced from within our farms own grounds, milled on site, lovingly upcycled and hand crafted to create this unique party venue.
We don’t believe in conveyor belt style weddings here at The Oaks and as a result only hold a limited amount of weddings/events a year in order to put our all, proudly into each and every gathering. We love attention to detail and strive to create an extra special day that you’ll cherish.
Our breath taking grounds provide the ideal space for those forever memories.
