January at The Oaks Barn

What a January it’s been! Although we don’t host weddings within this winter month, we’ve had a fantastic and fun packed couple of weekends welcoming couples to our VIP viewing days. With the festive period traditionally being the engagement season, couples booked a time to come and see us and our team guided visitors around the barn. Talking through how the day could be shaped and making suggestions to help incorporate the twists and turns that make each day unique.

Our first VIP viewing session quickly became fully booked within a few days, meaning we added more days to suit the demand and we are thrilled that so many of you have snapped up your dream dates, ranging from 2026 – 2028! Both traditional full day weddings and our newly added Twilight brochure is proving to be very popular!

The weather kindly showcased how spectacular a sprinkling of snow looks here within our rural grounds. Then the following weekend we were treated to atmospheric mist which made our beautiful festoon lights sparkle all the more!

Viewing days also give couples a chance to see the barn decorated with our in-house décor packages. The newly added ceremonial arch completed the end of the log barn aisle and our simple yet stunning cylindrical glass vessels and candles added twinkle to each round table. The top table was laid with crockery and cutlery along with a few rustic touches, to show how effective a minimal look can be in our beautiful barn.
