What a January it’s been! Although we don’t host weddings within this winter month, we’ve had a fantastic and fun packed couple of weekends welcoming couples to our VIP viewing days. With the festive period traditionally being the engagement season, couples booked a time to come and see us and our team guided visitors around the barn. Talking through how the day could be shaped and making suggestions to help incorporate the twists and turns that make each day unique.

Throughout December, our magical wedding barn truly comes into its own, transformed into a festive wonderland filled with warmth, sparkle and charm. Our show stopping seasonal décor adds a touch of enchantment at every turn and the cosy countryside setting creates an atmosphere that feels both intimate and unforgettable. There’s something undeniably special about celebrating love here at this time of year. The barn feels alive with magic, making every winter wedding and event feel uniquely memorable.

Our team had the pleasure of visiting newly launched and independently ran: Papermill Bridal. The very inspirational brand owner Emily had a vision. With the huge rise in pre-loved popularity but lack of an extra special 5 star service while shopping for sustainably sourced dresses, Emily wanted to give brides a memorable ‘try on’ shopping experience and still let the bride share this with their loved ones.

We’ve kicked off the festive celebrations with our magical series of wreath workshops hosted by local floral guru Wildling and Aster.

Guests have joined us over the past few days to create their own luxury wreath’s, guided by Wildlings Beth, while enjoying the beautiful countryside atmosphere. The log burner has been roaring and the festive cocktails have been deliciously poured!

Last Christmas, our rustic wedding barn was transformed into a fabulously festive wonderland as we hosted a truly unforgettable December wedding for Gemma and Andrew. Guests arrived wrapped in cosy winter cheer, welcomed by a drink and the log burner fire roaring. It was a joyful, spirited celebration where rustic elegance met holiday sparkle, creating the perfect backdrop for a couple’s magical and festive “I do.”

Thank you for stepping into our magical world last Sunday! Our Enchanted Forest Wedding Fayre brought so many fairy tales to life and we loved welcoming each and every one of you to our countryside wedding venue.

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Twilight Weddings at The Oaks Barn! As our wonderful family run business grows, this is a new style of wedding we’ve been wanting to permanently add to our services. And now, with it’s own dedicated brochure that will enable our amazing couples to organise a wedding to suit their precise needs, we are taking bookings up to 2027!

Last September, the happiest colour palette took over our rustic barn. With bright pops of yellow and blue in bouquets and button holes, a dessert table full to the brim with floral cupcakes, blossoming and blooming into life . . . this wedding was as unique as the couple who designed the day. Packed with originality and personality, this stunning July ceremony took place in our rustic Enchanted Woodlands. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Holly and Will said their ‘I Do’s’ surrounded by trailing and traipsing nature.

We are officially feeling festive now that we have created magnificent luxury wreaths at this year’s Christmas workshops hosted by local independent florist Beth, of Wildlings and Aster.
