As our wonderful family run business grows, this is a new style of wedding we’ve been wanting to permanently add to our services. What is a Twilight Wedding?

A Twilight Wedding is great for couples looking to create a more relaxed and intimate wedding celebration with a minimum of 50 guests, smaller than the usual numbers with an informal approach to the traditional formalities. Rather than kicking the day off first thing, there is a later ceremony time of 4pm, enjoying one sociable buffet style meal.

There is something extra special and romantic about tying the knot as the sun sets on a summers evening or as the stars sparkle on a winters night.

Some consider a Twilight Wedding as budget friendly as the venue hire reflects the later start in the day, along with only one lighter meal being served rather than a three course meal.

What’s included with a Twilight Wedding?

Included in the venue hire rate is your choice of two magical ceremony areas, with an indoor and outdoor option (weather dependant).

The Pergola – Immerse yourself in wrap around nature as the sunsets. Enjoy this tranquil ceremony area with up to 80 guests.

The Log Barn – Atmospherically lit and full of rustic charm, our Log barn room makes for an enchanting experience and hold up to 100 guests.

We have a huge range of accessories, décor and services included in our Twilight Wedding package. From a pre-wedding day itinerary run through to help organise every single aspect of your wedding planning, to manageable payment plans.

We’ve taken care of loads of the finer details so you don’t have to break the bank. You are welcome to use our beautiful rustic wedding post box, easel to place a welcome sign upon, the use of large rustic carts to place your guest book on or use as a sweetie cart/dessert table, to name a few items!

What are the benefits of a twilight wedding?

Less stress to plan - Removing the need and price of a three-course wedding breakfast can take a huge amount of weight off your shoulders and bank balance! With only the necessity of choosing one delicious buffet option from our popular tried and tested Twilight Wedding menus, we’ve done all the hard work for you . . . yum!

Show stopping wedding photos - Prep in advance with your photographer what time the sun will be setting and get those amazing golden hour shots with just the two of you. When dusk has fallen, get twinkling and atmospheric group shots under the stars with sparklers and glow sticks.

More time for partying - Couples always say how quick their wedding day flies by and that they don’t get a chance to talk to every single guest. A twilight Wedding is less of the usual formalities and more of the socialising and partying. With a later ceremony time and more casual dining experience you can get straight on with the partying! Gone are the days of tradition, let’s head to the dancefloor!

Your day, Your way - Are some of the formalities still important to you? Well it’s your celebration and you can do what you want! Take the time in your itinerary run through meeting to schedule in anything significant like cake cutting and the first dance.

Budget Friendly - Due to the wedding celebration starting later on in the day, the venue hire reflects this shorter period of time, the money saved could go towards unforgettable entertainment like surprise singing waiters or that wedding band you’ve had your eye on for years!

A sociable dining experience

Is a sit down three course meal followed by tea and coffee not really your thing? Our party friendly and interactive Twilight food packages are a fantastic way to fill your guests with delicious food crafted here on site while also mingling and socialising.

Choose from one of our two scrumptious meal options:

The Moonbeam Hog Roast – Tuck into a traditional roast Staffordshire pig joint with crispy crackling, along with sage and onion stuffing, apple sauce and fresh white baps . . . yum!

Dusk Delight Pizzas and sides – The Oaks Woodland Pizza oven is situated at the rear of the barn for all your guests to see while they chat, drink and celebrate! Choose from a list of tasty pizza toppings and enjoy served with crunchy salad and potato wedges.

Why we LOVE a twilight wedding?!

Timing – You don’t have to be up at the crack of dawn with a hectic make up and hair schedule. Twilight weddings start much later on in the day and allow for a later bridal boutique experience from 12 midday should you wish to book our beautiful pamper room.

Lighting – Our atmospheric festoon lighting adds fun and character to your wedding celebration. Think of a summer evening when the sun starts to set and all our beautiful lighting starts to add a sparkle to the countryside horizon. Dreamy!

The Set Up – As you are serving your guests the one sociable buffet meal, there is no need for an intricate (and sometimes very political!) seating plan. Guests don’t need to have allocated seating meaning there is less to complete during your set up day, the day before your wedding. This also saves the couple ££££ on paying for wedding day signage such as seating plans, place names etc.

Great spirits – We’ve noticed that guests arrive to a later ceremony time refreshed and ready to party. With a twilight wedding being shorter, in some cases guests can get away with booking an afternoon off work or even attending straight after they’ve clocked off . . .  ready to hit the dancefloor. Spirits are high which makes for a fab night of merriment.
